Combining more than 20 years of experience in veterinary nursing care and practice management with a passion for feline medicine, Renee Austin brings together the strengths of the professional aspects of her field along with a strong understanding of the emotional and medical concerns of cats with chronic conditions and special needs. She believes that the responsibility and desire we have to provide the best possible care for our cats can be blended and balanced with our emotional bonds and the challenges we face.
Renee constantly seeks out new information on research and advancements in Cat Care and Behavior. She is a student of Usui Reiki Ryoho, and is presently studying through the FEMA 'Animals in Disaster' Preparedness and Planning Programs. Her real loves, though are helping people deal with aging issues with their senior animals, intensive care needs, feline behavior, chronic disease, and Cats! Cats!! Cats!!!
Renee is 'managed' by a wonderful senior cat who has had life-long chronic medical challenges, four very special-needs foster cats, a very happy and energetic foster dog, and a handsome and snuggly Quarter Horse who is well into his retirement years.
She is also very pleased to introduce the most recent addition to the group, EVA, who has her own personal blog "Conversations With EVA!"
